For what types of events will you provide floral design work?
We provide floral designs for weddings, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, dinner parties, funerals and other special events.
How do you source your flowers?
A lot of the flowers Michelle uses in her designs come right from grounds of Marianmade Farm. She also makes regular visits to the Boston Flower Exchange to ensure that she has access to a wide variety of the highest quality, freshly cut flowers. Michelle also has a greenhouse in nearby Boothbay Harbor, allowing her to grow even more flowers locally throughout the year.
Am I able to visit Marianmade Farm in person?
Of course! Michelle loves to share the farm with as many of her clients as possible. Please contact her to set up a time to visit the farm.
What is the origin of the name, ‘Marianmade Farm?’
Michelle’s mother, Marian, was the inspiration for the farm’s name. Michelle attributes much of her creativity and work ethic to her mother, so it seemed a fitting tribute to name the farm after a woman she admires so greatly.
What are some of the flowers you grow at Marianmade Farm?
Lavender, hydrangeas, sunflowers, echinacea, russian sage, sedums, zinnias, dahlias, snapdragons, sweet peas, black eyed susan, salvia, peonies, lupine, thistle, poppies, and many others. We’re always adding more!
Can I purchase freshly cut flowers and arrange them myself?
Certainly! Make sure to contact Michelle and give her an estimate of how many flowers you might need or the number of arrangements you’re planning on creating.
How long have you been designing?
Michelle has been in the design field for over twenty-five years, but her green thumb has been around for a lifetime. While in college, Michelle worked as a florist to earn extra money. During this time, she learned the basics of flower arranging. Using the basic skills she learned at an early age, coupled with her innate design sense, Michelle continued to create lovely arrangements for friends and for her own family’s home.
